With Arsenal not playing this weekend, due to the Gunners not being in the FA Cup quarter-finals, Russo took to social media to praise her mum, Carol Russo, on Mother's Day. The former Manchester United forward paid homage to her mother with some photos of the two over the years and a touching line or two.

Arsenal return to Women's Super League action on Friday away to defending champions Chelsea at Kingsmeadow. The Blues are two places and three points ahead of the Gunners, and if Jonas Eidevall's team can beat Emma Hayes' side on their own patch they will draw level with the west London outfit.
